Scholarship Program


Application Requirements


  • Completed application accompanied by a photo

  • Proof of residency

  • Statement from parent or guardian indicating why financial assistance is needed

  • Essay

  • Official sealed high school transcript accompanied by SAT/ACT scores

  • Letters of recommendation from teacher and guidance counselor

  • Acceptance letter (if available) from college, university, or other higher learning institution

Scholarships will only be awarded upon proof of acceptance by an accredited college or university.


Eligibility Requirements


  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must be a resident of Ward Seven in the District of Columbia

  • Must be currently enrolled as a senior or a graduate of a senior high school in the
    District of Columbia (ages 17-24)

Selection Criteria


  • Must demonstrate need for financial assistance

  • Must be accepted at an accredited college, university, or other higher learning institution

  • Must enroll as a full-time student

  • Must maintain minimum C+ grade point average while in high school and college
